COPÁN · LEMPIRA · HONDURAS

We live where the coffee grows.

The farm is not part of our story. It is where our story starts.

The farm came first. The brand came later.

We are involved in the process the whole way down — the pruning, the picking, the depulping, turning parchment on the drying beds. Not because it makes a better story, but because a small farm cannot afford anyone standing still. We stay close to the coffee through the whole process. It is what we mean when we talk about going ground-to-ground.
Selling directly into the United States is what makes the numbers work. It supports our family and it lets us pay honest wages to people from our community in Honduras, season after season.
We are not going to tell you a rehearsed sustainability story. We will tell you where each lot grew, how high, how it was processed, and who picked it — and let the cup do the rest.

Ground to ground.
From flower to cup, we stay close to every step.

Ground-to-ground means staying connected to the coffee, the people, and the work from where it grows to where it is sold

A farm should support more than the crop.

Good coffee should support a good living.

Selling our coffee directly gives us access to a larger market. We believe the benefit of that access should reach beyond the people who own the farm.
Coffee takes a lot of hands. Pruning. Picking. Carrying. Processing. Drying. Sorting. Every one of those jobs matters to what ends up in the cup.
We pay above-market wages because we believe work has dignity, and the people doing that work should share in the value they help create.
Direct trade should mean more than a better price for the producer. It should make a better living possible for the people who work alongside us, too.
It should make a better living possible for the people who work alongside us, too.
